One alternative energy source in the form of biomass is briquettes. Briquettes is a piece of solid fuel that contains carbon, has a high heating value, and can burn for a long time. Reviewing the large number of available raw materials, the potential and advantages of briquettes, makes economic players compete to develop the briquette business. The aim of this research is to create a machine with an automatic and pneumatic control system in cutting to increase briquette production using a machine with more economical and efficient specifications with a screw conveyor made from AISI 316L as a new innovation and the use of automation in cutting to reduce man power in the production process. In designing and making a briquette printing machine, the method used is the Shigley Method, including needs identification, problem formulation, synthesis, analysis and optimization, evaluation and presentation. The machine, which was made with dimensions of 750 mm x 500 mm x 1200 mm, succeeded in producing briquettes with a capacity of 15/hour. Apart from that, the 316 L screw conveyor succeeded in optimizing efficiency, while the pneumatic cutting system assisted by Arduino Uno automation control succeeded in automatically cutting briquettes in the form of cubes measuring 4 cm x 4 cm x 4 cm.
